Fund-Raising Group Aims At $5 Million For Korea

SAN FRANSCISCO, Mar. 28 (AP)- Five million dollars for rehabilitation of Korean civilians will be the aim of a fundraising campaign sponsored by the American-Korea Foundation.
Palmer Davis, executive director of the organization, announced the plans Thursday after arriving by plane from an eight-day inspection tour of Korea with members of the Foundation.
The mission, led by Dr. Howard Rusk of New York City's Bellevue Medical center, traveled through the war-torn country examining civilian conditions and visiting Korean hospitals.
"There's a shortage of everything except orphans," Davis reported.
Main hopes of the foundation are to support training programs for hospital personnel, to help orphanages, and to start an educational program.
